Erick Burchfield is Managing Director, Research, Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory (KCRA) where he leads research and analysis for the firm’s proprietary studies and services. His published research includes: Operations Management Consulting Marketplace; Supply Chain Management Consulting Marketplace; Customer Strategy and Interaction Consulting Marketplace; and R&D Strategy and Product & Service Development Consulting Marketplace.
Previously, Burchfield was a Senior Consultant and served as Operations Manager of the Business Planning Solutions group at HIS Global Insight, where he led a variety of strategic planning consulting projects in several industries.

Liz DeVito's focus at Kennedy is HR (human resource) consulting, covering the benefits, human capital, outsourcing and investments markets. She was previously a principal with Mercer, specializing in market and competitive intelligence for business, strategy and corporate development. DeVito also has prior experience with Big Four audit, advisory and tax services, as well as strategy consulting. Her roles have been globally focused throughout her career.

Erin Hichman is Kennedy’s lead for IT consulting. She was previously an Analyst with Technology Business Research, where she authored quarterly research reports on IT vendors—covering key trends and market developments, financial performance, and go-to-market strategies. In addition, Hichman specialized in financial modeling, benchmarking, custom market analyses and research projects within the IT services industry. Prior to joining TBR in 2008, Erin spent four years as an IT Consultant with Deloitte Consulting.

Tomek Jankowski’s focus is on consulting to the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and capital markets/asset management clients. Liz Leonard’s focus is on consulting in the healthcare marketplace, including coverage on payers, providers, life sciences, and biotechnology areas. She was previously a Senior Analyst and Engagement Manager with TBR, Inc., specializing in benchmarking research for the management consulting industry. Leonard also has prior experience as a Senior Analyst with Kennedy Information and IDC.
Vice President, Engineering Products & Services, Global Leader Innovation
John Loehr focuses on helping automotive, industrial, and aerospace companies reach a position of product and market leadership through a combination of product strategy and functional restructuring. His recent assignments include product, pricing, and distribution strategies for a global construction equipment company and a North American HVAC manufacturer. Loehr also works frequently with private equity companies to evaluate the market and technology competitiveness of potential targets. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, John spent nine years as a scientist at the Air Force Research Labs, eventually leaving as Technical Director.

Ric Merrifield is a Partner with Level 11, a Seattle-based consulting firm, and author of the 2009 book: Rethink: A Business Manifesto for Cutting Costs and Boosting Innovation. Merrifield spent nearly 15 years in various consulting roles helping organizations define and achieve their goals. After joining Microsoft, Merrifield spent more than 10,000 hours as Microsoft’s business scientist and has filed twelve patent applications all with the goal of helping companies rethink their operating models and get out of the “how” trap described in the pages of Rethink. His second book, Surviving a Business Earthquake, about disruptive business models, was released in December of 2010.

Jim Moffatt is Chairman & CEO of Deloitte Consulting LLP. He is also a member of the Deloitte Consulting LLP Executive Committee, Deloitte Consulting LLP Board of Directors, Deloitte LLP Executive Committee, and the Global Consulting Executive Committee of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited. Previously he served as National Managing Director for Consulting Clients & Industries as well as a member of the Deloitte LLP Board of Directors. During his more than 25 years with Deloitte, Moffatt has become known for serving clients with distinction, championing collaboration to advance “One Deloitte” and modeling Deloitte’s culture and values. He leads by example and is actively involved with helping numerous high-profile and complex engagements across multiple industries.

Nathan Simon is the lead analyst for Kennedy's Strategy and Operations Management consulting service lines. He has over ten years of experience in internal and external consulting roles, and most recently managed an independent consulting practice geared towards aligning clients' strategies and organizational structures and processes. As part of this venture, Simon partnered with a Harvard Business School professor on research designed to measure the performance of organizations' internal coordination systems.

Bob Sutherland manages KCRA’s firm management benchmarking research of consulting compensation, fees, financial, and operational metrics. He joined Kennedy more than 8 years ago in a business development role, aiding customers in navigating Kennedy’s portfolio of market research products, analyst services, and custom advisory services. Prior to joining Kennedy, Bob was a Senior Analyst and Consultant at Technology Business Research.
